Maple Syrup

Boss timer for Classic World

Click the channel a boss died on and the countdown starts. Respawn times come from the game’s own spawn table, so they are the real base timers; Nexon adds some randomness on top, so a boss can show up a little early or late. Make a room and your whole guild shares one board, live.

Guild roomNot in a room. Make one and tell the guild the code in game chat; everyone who enters it sees the same timers live.

Questions

Where do the respawn times come from?

From the game database’s spawn table for Classic World: Mano, Mushmom, Zombie Mushmom and Shade every 60 minutes, Jr. Balrog every 3 hours. Stumpy is not in the table, so his is an estimate. Nexon has said field boss respawns are randomised a little, which is why the timer warns you before the base time instead of at it.

Can my guild see my timers?

Yes, with a room. Make a room, say the four-letter code in guild chat ("syrup room K7Q4"), and everyone who enters it on this page shares one board: a kill anyone logs shows up for all of them within seconds. A room lasts 36 hours after its last kill, and there is nothing in it but boss times, so a guessed code gives away nothing. Copy board link still works for a one-off snapshot in Discord.

Do the alerts work with the game in front?

Turn alerts on and allow notifications when the browser asks. A notification and a short sound fire at the warning time and at the spawn, even when this tab is in the background. Some browsers mute background tabs until you have interacted with the page, which the first click does.

Is this part of the app?

Not yet. The Maple Syrup app reads your QUEST window and minimap and guides you to quests, which is a different job. If a shared boss board in the app would help your guild, say so in the Discord.
